The work:
Originally inspired by a gurgling stream in a summer sunset, streaming plays with the way light catches and reflects on pebbles as they pop out from their wet surrounds. The form references old cathode-ray televisions, asking the viewer to consider what they spend their time observing in the age of infinite content to stream.

The artist:
Toby Glover is a ceramic artist based in Brooklyn, NY and a recent member of Artshack Studio. Influenced by his childhood in the mountains of rural Virginia, Toby's hand-built pieces often feature motifs inspired by natural elements such as mushrooms and the fluidity of water. Through his pieces, Toby captures the beauty and serenity of nature, blending meticulous craftsmanship with a nostalgic homage to his upbringing and reverence for the organic world.
