Club Motte is a public storytelling night for people who typically aren’t the type to share. Instead of seasoned performers and rehearsed stories, we encourage the vulnerability and risk that comes with trying something new. At each event, everyone in the audience is invited to tell a true story, from their life, inspired by the theme. There’s no scheduled line-up, no voting, and no winner. Just a group of people ready to listen, and a few who have something to say.

The theme for March is Rivalry.

Rivalries come in many forms, whether it’s between siblings, colleagues, strangers, or friends. There are life-long competitions, family feuds, childhood games, and the secret rivalries where the other person doesn’t even know they’re your rival to begin with. Think of a rivalry in your life—past or present, serious or deeply silly—and tell us all about it.
