We offer two kid-friendly classes each weekend: Family Wheel and Open Clay Time.
Bring your your family, or just yourself, all ages welcome. Standard pricing includes unlimited clay and communal tools. You pay firing fees at 10 cents per cubic inch to fire your work. Adults have to pay for themselves if they are bringing a kid under 12 y/o. You must leave time to set up and clean up. Open Clay Time is not a class, but there will be a monitor on duty to check you in and oversee cleanup.
OCT is a one-off session- all projects must be finished in the same session they are started. You may use underglaze to paint your work but all work will be clear-glazed by the studio. Due to lack of storage space, there is no way to continue working on a piece over multiple sessions.
Get your hands covered in clay on the pottery wheel! This class is for kids under the age of 12 and their parents or caregivers.
This is a process oriented class where families can learn the basics of how to throw on the wheel. These classes are taught by an intern. No glazing takes place in this class- our studio will glaze your piece for you and fire it twice. This price includes firing of one item (per person) under 5" x 5" x 5".
Note: No adults may take this class unless they are accompanying a kid under the age of 12.
Reservations are required for Family Wheel Class. Walk-ins are welcome in Open Clay Time, if space permits.
Family Wheel books by the seat. If you plan to work with/assist a younger child on the wheel, you only need to purchase one spot. If you and your child would like your own separate wheels, you should book a seat for each of you.
If you plan to assist a child in Open Clay Time you do not need to book a separate spot for yourself. If you are attending with a child but want to fire your own piece made during the session, you do need to book a separate spot for yourself.
If you wish to receive a refund, your request MUST be received 3 days prior to the day of your class.
If you wish to receive a refund for Open Clay Time or Family Wheel Class, your request MUST be received 3 days prior to the day of your class. After this time we are unable to offer refunds, credits, exchanges, transfers or make up classes, even if you need to drop out of a class due to personal injury, personal emergency or COVID-19 related sickness.
