In 2024, Artshack is projected to:

  • Host 550+ children from Title 1 schools, 100% free of charge.
  • Offer full scholarships to 110+ kids enrolled in our After School program, Summer Camp, and Holiday Camps.
  • Offer full scholarships to 130+ Black & Brown Bed-Stuy adults.
  • Provide ceramic arts classes to 20 blind and visually impaired students through partnerships with VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired and Lighthouse Guild.
  • 30+ elders enrolled via our pay-as-you-wish seniors program.

In 2023 alone, Artshack:

  • Hosted 450+ children from PS 3, a local Title one school, 100% free of charge.
  • Provided full scholarships to 15% of after school students (a total of 30 kids), 18% of summer campers (a total of 18 kids) and 11% of holiday campers (a total of 30 kids).
  • Provided full scholarships to 126 Black & Brown Bed-Stuy adults.
  • Held 10 community days serving over 400 people from the Bedford-Stuyvesant community, free of charge.
  • Hosted 5 Artists-in-Residence, providing free studio space to produce work, showcasing their work in our gallery, and providing opportunities to teach community clay days. 
  • Continued a 100% subsidized school partnership with Bedford Academy High School, a local high-performing, Title 1 school, where students attend a weekly ceramics class, which is their only access to visual arts.
  • Held our 8th annual fundraiser to support our community program.
  • Held our 7th annual Holiday Sale to support our scholarships through the sales of kid-designed ceramics.
  • Provided meaningful work and a fair wage to 26 teaching artists, plus health care to most of our full-time team.
